Temptation Island on fantasiaa, kauhua ja ensimmäisen persoonan videopeliestetiikkaa yhdistelevä kolmikanavainen videoinstallaatio.
Tatu Engeströmin ja Sakari Tervon yhteistyö alkoi 2007 Belgradissa, jolloin he toteuttivat paikalliseen sotamuseoon “Some Cannonballs, Bubbles and a Street musician” -teoksen. He ovat siitä lähtien tehneet säännöllisesti yhdessä projekteja muun taiteellisen työskentelyn ohessa. Heidän teoksensa “Fasadi” (2009-2011) dokumentoi Engeströmin ja Tervon tekemän punamultajulkisivun elinkaarta romanileirissä Helsingissä. Teos oli esillä mm. Lahden Taidemuseossa ja Kaapelin galleriassa. Vuonna 2014 Engeström ja Tervo toteuttivat paikkasidonnaisen teoskokonaisuuden “RE-NA-TA” Turun Sibelius-museoon. Viimeisin yhteistyöhanke “Frank Meets Bobby” oli osa Kiasman URB-festivaalia. Yhdessä Konsta Ojalan kanssa Engeström ja Tervo työskentelivät viikon ajan autoromuttamolla New Yorkin Long Islandilla. Tähän interventioon pohjautuva installaatio ja ääniteos oli esillä Sorbus-galleriassa kesällä 2015.

Tatu Engeström on valmistunut Kuvataideakatemiasta vuonna 2014 kuvataiteen maisteriksi.
Engeströmin teokset vaihtelevat julkisessa tilassa tapahtuvista interventioista galleria installaatioihin. Hänellä on ollut yksityisnäyttelyitä mm. Kuvataideakatemian galleriassa, Kluuvin galleriassa ja viimeksi Dzialdov-galleriassa Berliinissä.
Sakari Tervo on valmistunut Kuvataideakatemiasta vuonna 2011 kuvataiteen maisteriksi. Hän työskentelee pääsääntöisesti yhteistyössä muiden taiteilijoiden kanssa sekä kollektiiveissa Anna Breu ja Sorbus. Hän toimii Sorbus-gallerian työryhmässä ja työskentelee Taidekoulu MAAssa osa-aikaisena opettajana.

Temptation Island is a 3-channel video installation, combining elements of fantasy and horror, and aesthetics of first-person video game.
Tatu Engeström and Sakari Tervo have worked together since 2007 when they realized work “Some Cannonballs, Bubbles and a Street musician” in a local war museum in Belgrad. Besides their own artistic practices, they have regularly collaborated from then on. “Fasadi” (2009–2011) was a project that documented the life cycle of a falun red facade that artists had built into a Roma camp in Helsinki. The work was shown e.g. at Lahti Art Museum and Kaapeli Gallery. In 2014 Engeström and Tervo realized site-specific set of works titled “RE-NA-TA” at Sibelius Museum in Turku. Most recent collaboration “Frank Meets Bobby” was part of Kiasma Theatre´s URB Festival. Together with artist Konsta Ojala, Engeström and Tervo worked one week in a car scrapyard in Long Island, New York. Based on this intervention, an installation and a sound work were later presented at Sorbus Gallery in 2015.
Tatu Engeström graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in 2014. Interventions in public spaces and installations are the most common mediums in his work. He has had solo exhibitions at the Fine Art Academy´s gallery space, at Kluuvi Gallery and, most recently, at Dzialdov art space in Berlin.
Sakari Tervo graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in 2011. He works mainly in collaboration with other artists and collectives, including collectives Anna Breu and Sorbus. He is a member of Sorbus gallery´s working group and teaches part-time at Art School MAA.
